The Spanish league match between Cadiz and Valencia has ended after 32 minutes. The reason: a racist statement by Eibar player Cala to Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby. The visitors all moved in after noise on the field.

The moment in question took place around half an hour. With a free kick for home team Cadiz, home player Cala and Valencia defender Diakhaby had a fight. In addition, Cala, who had previously put Cadiz in the lead, would have flung a racist statement at Diakhaby’s head.

The Frenchman was boiling with rage and chased Cala, whereupon the two argued around the center line. The referee then stopped play and when Diakhaby’s teammates realized what had happened, they stepped off the field together.

The game stopped for about fifteen minutes. Afterwards, the match resumed at a 1-1 score, without Diakhaby, who was changed and perhaps had asked for it himself. ‘Perpetrator’ Cala did come back on the field.
