Skull Town will be an Arena map in Apex Legends

Finally, Skull Town is making a return to Apex Legends , but not as planned a few months ago. With the release of the Arenas game mode , several areas of the map have received the Arenas treatment, and it looks like Skull Town will be the next area to feature in the mode.

This has almost been confirmed by page Twitter of Apex Legends . No release date yet, but it will likely be soon as the cards haven’t turned for a few weeks now.

For those in the know, which is fair enough, by the way, because Skull Town is long gone, Skull Town was one of the most iconic landing spots in the original King’s Canyon. He made several appearances throughout the game’s cycle, before being ultimately destroyed when Loba arrived at the scene.

It was a few seasons ago now and fans are excited to return to the close chaos of Skull Town. It will be really interesting to see how the map looks like an Arenas map, as the PoI is a tiny area with very little open space. The Eva-8 is going to riot here in its current form.

It will also be interesting to see if the whole of Skull Town will be presented as an Arenas map. Compared to other maps in the mode, it’s probably quite likely that every alley, building, and area on the ground will be featured, but will you be able to climb all the way to the top of the central building? This seems like a massively unfair advantage for whoever manages to get there first.

There are no details yet on when the card will arrive in Arenas, but the cards are spinning on a fairly stable two-week pattern, meaning it will likely arrive this Thursday with the next patch and notes from update.

This will probably be the biggest change to the game until the next Heirloom collectible event arrives in a few weeks, supposedly Crypto or Revenant if you trust the dataminers.

Hopefully there will be some other cool meta-changes and rework with the next patch, and until at least some bigger content comes along, we can all relax and play Skull Town again.
