Resident Evil Re: Verse won’t launch in July after all, postponed to 2022

Dude, Capcom’s multiplayer spin-off just can’t take a break, can it? Resident Evil Re: Verse, the multiplayer companion to Resident Evil Village, was slated to launch this month, although we never got a full release date. Now, the publisher has decided to postpone the launch even further: it should now arrive in 2022.

As noted in the tweet above, the team has delayed the game in order to “provide a smooth gaming experience” and will announce a new release date in the future. Considering the mixed reception the title has received so far, perhaps a delay isn’t such a bad idea. However, he was supposed to arrive alongside Village, so anyone who has been looking forward to playing this in May is probably not very happy.

Either way, Re: Verse is now irrelevant until next year. Were you looking forward to playing it this summer? Tell us in the comments section below.
