Reminder: State of Play shines the spotlight on Deathloop, “Exciting independent and third party titles” today

Small reminder: Sony will release a new inventory today (July 8, 2021) at 2 p.m. PDT / 10 p.m. BST. For more information on timing, see the following article: What time is the Sony PlayStation game state live broadcast ?

We know it will be a 30 minute broadcast with around nine minutes of Deathloop gameplay. That leaves about 20 minutes for “updates on some exciting indie and third-party titles”. The platform owner hasn’t specified which titles will be included, but it’s safe to assume that none of them will be “bigger” than Arkane’s first-person shooter, because the platform owner won’t want to eclipse what he sees as a key. exit in his wallet.

We suspect that these leaked PlayStation costumes for Fall Guys will be officially announced during the livestream. We’re also planning updates on titles like Little Devil Inside, though the Stray will likely be on hold for the Annapurna Interactive event later this month. Kena: Bridge of Spirits, a game slated for release in August, will also be on the list.

Whether or not the event will include something “major” is up for debate. Sony has already ruled out proprietary games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok, and while there is speculation that Grand Theft Auto V and Final Fantasy 16 could be included, we would say they would steal the show from Deathloop which seems to be the main focus here. Keep your expectations low.
