The family of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has grown! The Duchess of Sussex gave birth on June 4 to their daughter at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. The little one was named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, in honor of Queen Elizabeth, whose caress is Lilibet and Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.
“The Duke and Duchess thank you for your warm wishes and prayers as they enjoy this special moment as a family,” a spokesman for the couple said in a statement. According to the spokesman, “both the mother and the child are in excellent condition and are in the family home”.
At the same time, in a personal message posted by Meghan and Harry on their foundation website, Archewell, they said: “On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. It is more than we could have imagined and we are grateful for “The love and prayers we felt from all over the world. Thank you for your kindness and support at this very special time for our family.”
Meghan and Harry – who also have a son, 2-year-old Archie – announced they were expecting a second child last February, three months after the summer. During their interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, they revealed the sex of the baby.
