The abandonment is real. Sort of . After a lot of skepticism, it looks like Dutch developer Blue Box Game Studios has really hit its target release date for its Realtime Experience app, as PlayStation 5 preloads roll out worldwide. Images on Reddit show the demo on the PS Store , alongside some screenshots of its content at this point.
To be fair, the independent studio has already confirmed that the first trailer for the app won’t be out until August 10, so there’s not much to see just yet. Start the client and you’ll get a developer logo image, an option to select your language, and a message to check out soon. And that’s your lot.
We’re assuming the takeaway here is that the project, which has looked like smoke and mirrors from the start, has finally delivered something tangible. It might not be much, but it’s just about enough to keep this whole thing going for the time being.
