Hot Wheels Unleashed looks pretty good from where we’re sitting. Developer Milestone is putting a lot of effort into this licensed driver based on popular diecast cars , and we’re really interested in trying it out on September 30th. One aspect we haven’t seen yet is the game’s track editor , but today the studio showed it off in a new video.
Of course, part of the joy of Hot Wheels is making your own tracks, so it makes sense that the game includes that aspect. The editor you’ll use in the game is the same one the developers use to create the official tracks, which is pretty cool. First you need to set a starting point for your circuit or point-to-point track, then you can go crazy with all kinds of track pieces, obstacles, interactive elements, etc.
It sounds like a pretty robust editor, and you just know the community will quickly create some ridiculous courses that will really test your skills. Fortunately, each track needs to be driven successfully from start to finish before it’s uploaded, so there shouldn’t be an impossible nightmare.
Anyway, are you excited for Hot Wheels Unleashed? Will you be building tracks with the game editor? Get your engines running in the comments section below.
