Andrei Konchalovsky announced the people’s casting. The famous director is going to make a new serial film about the events of the 20th century that changed the history of Russia and the whole world.

Now, for example, he is looking for a non-professional actor – an ordinary person from the people, similar to the Russian politician Alexander Kerensky.

“It will be difficult to find a performer for the role of Kerensky,” Andrei Konchalovsky admitted in a video message. He has a very unusual face. The appearance is ugly, but characteristic: a wide forehead, a small chin and a nose hanging like a plum.”

Earlier, the director also announced the search for performers for the roles of Grigory Rasputin, Sergei Yesenin, Maxim Gorky and other famous personalities of the 20th century.

In an interview with the PopCornNews portal, director and film journalist David Shneiderov told why the eminent director decided to appeal to the people, and not recruit professional actors into his team.

“I think that Konchalovsky, first of all, wants to find new clean faces. The actors we are used to seeing in TV shows are already pretty tired, ”David Shneiderov shared his opinion.

The film journalist also noted that the non-professional actors that Konchalovsky is looking for can play much better.

“Difficulties on the set always arise – even with real actors. However, ordinary people who get into a big movie can behave more responsibly on the set than masters of their craft,” David Shneiderov emphasized.
