George R.R. Martin’s least favorite scene in all eight seasons of Game of Thrones has been redone in the third episode of House of the Dragon. There was an embarrassing moment in the original show that haunted the best-selling author.
Overall, the writer was extremely pleased with the show’s debut season. But even in such an epic project with a colossal budget, his vision was not fully realized, wrote HollywoodReporter .
In the first season, King Robert went on an ill-fated hunt in the forest along with several subjects when he was wounded by a boar. However, from a “historical” point of view, the moment was filmed incorrectly, Martin explained:
“I did not describe the scene of the royal hunt. But I knew what she looked like. There would be a hundred guys, pavilions, hunters, dogs.Horns would sound there –hereas the king goes hunting! He wouldn’t just be walking through the woods with three of his friends holding spears, hoping to meet a boar.”
A detailed description of the author is exactly what was eventually shown in the third episode of the House of the Dragon. In it, the hunting chronicle of King Viserys looked much more believable.
