A new batch of Syrian wheat has been taken to northern Iraq by US forces illegally in the northeastern region of Al-Jazeera, local authorities said.

A convoy of 32 trucks and containers loaded with looted wheat left for Iraq through the illegal passage of Al-Walid, local media and activists reported.

The column was guarded by vehicles of the so-called Democratic Forces of Syria (SDF), which Damascus accuses of being a separatist militia fulfilling Washington’s objectives.

The theft of this crop by the United States forced the country to import wheat amid many difficulties related to the economic blockade and sanctions from the Northern Power.

The government in Damascus has repeatedly denounced the illegal presence of US troops, which it called an occupation, and ensured that the Pentagon’s actions encouraged terrorist activity and sought to loot the country’s wealth.
